About CPSNB

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick has responsibility within the province of New Brunswick, Canada for:

  • the licensing of physicians
  • monitoring standards of medical practice
  • investigating complaints against physicians

In addition to these three primary areas of responsibility, the College is often approached for advice in ethical, medical-legal, and general quality of care matters. The College operates under the authority of the Medical Act and applicable regulations.

  1. Application / Review of Credentials - $450
  2. Registration or Reinstatement on Medical Register or Medical Specialists Register - $300
  3. Annual Licence (Regular, Defined, Special, Clinical Assistant) - $2300
  4. Annual Licence (70 & over) - $775
  5. Locum Tenens Licence (90-day licence) - $650
  6. Locum Tenens Licence (30-day licence) - $250
  7. Border Area Licence - $500
  8. Courtesy Licence - $100
  9. Registration on the Corporations Register - $300
  10. Corporation Licence (annual) - $300
  11. Registration or reinstatement on Physician Assistants Register - $50
  12. Physician Assistants (annual licence) - $100
  13. Clinical Trainee Licence for PRANB Clinical Field Assessment - $300
  14. Atlantic Registry - $500
  15. Certificates of Standing - $100
  16. Supplemental review of file - $200
  17. Change of licence - $300
  18. Supervisor Report (per report) - $200
  19. Returned payment or NSF - $50
  20. Certificate of Registration suitable for framing - $50
  21. Seal of the College - $35
  22. and such other fees as Council may deem appropriate.

2. All fees are Non-Refundable.

3. The fee for any annual licence will be reduced by 50% if the licence is issued after June 30th.
